Get You Blog Going

I just finished reading "Get Your Blog Going" this morning. I actually do read for an hour or two every morning, lots of times business related material. Reading helps me start my day out and I get lots of fresh information and ideas.

"Get Your Blog Going" is a short manuscript of 40 pages and it is done by interview style between Steve Roye and Mike Paetzold. I had a little problem with the reading as it tends to skip around, has unfinished sentences and in some areas the sentences do not make sense. But I reworded things in my head as I went along so it came out realtively good.

Now saying that I really did get some valuable information from this interview. They discussed issues such as Word Press, RSS feeds, SEO title tags and different plug ins. It does outline how Mike uses his blogs to make money and get information out about products he is promoting.

So if you are interested in how to get a good blog going I suggest that you take a read of this manuscript, of course rewording it in your head as I mentioned before.

"Get Your Blog Going" is wotrh getting and reading and should help you grow your business.

I'm Back

It has been a while since I posted on my blog. Life sometimes gets in our way.

Basically I got carried away in teh internet trap of information overload and did not get to darned much work done for a month. Now after going on a cleaning flurry of my office, my desk and my computer I am back to a level of activity thta allows me to get some work done so I can make some money.

I decided that one of the things that I needed to do with all of the information I have gathered is to read it and give a reveiwe of it in this blog. Perhaps this will be of some use to others who enter here.

The very first thing I would like to tell you about is a free site that very few people know about yet. This web site is unique in my experience. It is set up to give out lots of very valuable information for FREE.

For example there is an area that reviews the top business books, an area that points out network forums, an area that discusses different lead generation tools, well areas that just plain discuss different tools that those of us that work the internet use. All of these areas give advice and valuable information.

Now for the kicker there are 2 areas in this web site where you are invited for FREE to blatantly advertise your business, and not just IM or MLM but other on line businesses also. One of the areas is called "Promote Your Home Business Here" that is where you can leave an add for others to erad when they visit. Then there is the "Site Forum" where you are invited to also leave a description of your business and the llink to it.

I would caution everyone to respect others in these 2 areas and not be pushy or do straight add blasting just to hog the whole system to get noticed. If that is done I can see these 2 areas being cut back on alot.

This is a really useful site and I hope that it will soon be getting many more visitors as I would like to here what others have to say about it.

Can I Do It?

People around the world are asking the question if money can really be made on line. This is a rather simple question with a very simple answer. YES , however you do require the right attitude, the right product, tools and training in order to succeed. If I can do it, having no prior knowledge of how to work an Internet Business so can you.

Like me, you have probably reviewed lots of web site adds that promise big money, fast money, do nothing and get rich and sit on a beach for the rest of your life. Well that is probably not really true. Just like anything else in life there are very legitimate sites that really help you build financially and then some rather shady sites that actually only build finances for the person who set up the scheme. This said the very first step you nee to take if yo are looking at on line business is to really look at all the offers, disregard all the hype as window dressing, and figure out what is a legitimate offer and what is a scam.

Once you have done your due diligence you can take your next step to becoming an entrepreneur on the web, that is to set up a web site to promote what it is you are doing. This can be done in two different manners, the easy way or the hard way. A way where you put out relatively small amounts of money or huge amounts of money. Yes, there is always a cost involved in any business, it just depends on how much time, effort and finances you are willing to put out.

I am not a computer expert, programmer, web designer or web master, nor did I have much money to start out with. So what did I do, very simply put the route I chose was was to pick a program that was already set up and was truly cost effective. In the very beginning the total cost for all links to programs I would promote, web hosting, advertising, auto responders ended up to be around $500.00. That is peanuts when you consider that to get into many other businesses it costs thousands of dollars, (I did spend thousands of dollars to start up other businesses that failed),and sometimes much more, just look at a MacDonald's franchise cost.

In the beginning even the words like auto responders, pay per click, op-in list-builders scared me silly because I was absolutely clueless about Internet business. Just as I informed you to do, I did my due diligence work and searched for a program that now works for me, and with the training that was provided I had a system up and running in very short order. For me it was amazing, it still is. I am still like a kid with a new toy bouncing out of bed every morning to get at my computer to see who has visited and signed up for something, even if it is only a newsletter that is free. These visitors will most likely end up working with me, thus building my business on line, (that is a polite way of saying they will make me money as they make money for themselves).

Did I figure I was going to make mountains of money the first week, or month of 6 months? Simply answered, NO. Did I figure I would have no work to do to get money rolling in? Again, simply answered, NO. Like any other business you need to invest time, effort, money and have a 2-5 year plan for growth. So, yes in the beginning you need to work every day to get the ball rolling, but once you get that ball rolling it picks up speed and you keep growing into the lifestyle you really want. But then again you just might strike gold on your first time out.

Can you really make money doing business on line? Of course you can, with the right product, system, tools, training, attitude, effort and patience it can be done. Now it is up to you to chose to get in on the action of marketing on line or going out and getting a JOB (just under broke) to make a living.
